About Enneagram Revolution

Hi, I'm Paul. I created Enneagram Revolution and the main method it brings to the world, Enneagram Parts Work, following on more than a decade of deep spiritual exploration.

While I began my quest looking for “enlightenment,” over time, my orientation has shifted more towards authenticity and wholeness. If everything is the divine, why not practice meeting what arises as that?

All spiritual teachings, it turns out, are congruent with a particular Enneagram style. Realizing this, and appreciating the power of the Enneagram’s deep knowledge, I knew that I wanted to continue working with this system. But I didn’t find a way of doing so that had the self-loving, parts-embracing “flavor” that, of everything I explored, resonated the most. My desire for an integrative approach to the Enneagram, with that certain quality, led to doing some experiments, which in turn led to the discovery of Enneagram Parts Work.

What if you have the whole Enneagram within yourself, and you can experience that directly, beyond the shadow of a doubt? That question, that invitation, and the new world of experience it opens up—that’s what the Enneagram Revolution is all about.

Why I Do This Work Section

WHY I DO THIS WORK

All of our life is our spiritual journey. There’s nothing that is left out. From the extraordinary “highs” to the mundane and ordinary moments of daily activity, our spiritual maturity is measured by how much we lean into this human incarnation and invest in it, rather than pull back from it.

After learning that it’s possible to move through life in a higher and more expansive way, the question becomes: how can that be achieved? We need practical tools and methods that form a bridge between glimpsing a new possibility and actually living it.

On the deepest level, I do this work because it forms a bridge between that inspiration, that calling, and changing the patterns and inner relationships that need to shift to bring about lasting transformation. I’m not aiming at an enlightenment that takes me “beyond”; the new enlightenment is becoming fully, gloriously alive as a human being. Do you feel called to this, too?

My seeking began from an early age when, at 14, disillusioned with the religious belief system I had been raised in, I stood on the roof of my church in rural Missouri, looked up to wide open blue skies and prayed, “God, show me what YOU want me to see.” I feel that, in some profound way, my life since then has been an unfolding of that one sincerely spoken prayer.

When I was in college getting a degree in philosophy, I experienced a “shift” out of identification with the thinking mind that set me on a new trajectory. This realization of awareness beyond the mind was the beginning of consciously practicing presence.

All through my 20’s, I traveled the world and delved into various spiritual practices, learning from many different wisdom traditions. For example, I made several journeys to Teotihuacan, Mexico, to absorb the wisdom of the Toltecs in the Eagle Knight lineage of Miguel Ruiz, and eventually met my partner Audrey there as well.

In that long exploration phase, I was very fortunate in that I got to be in person with many well-known spiritual teachers, such as Adyashanti, Matt Kahn, Teal Swan, and Richard Rudd. (You can also check out articles about their teachings on the blog page).

In 2025-2026, I completed a yearlong certification program to share the Enneagram professionally, taught by my friend, Nhien Vuong, and recognized by the IEA (International Enneagram Association).

Today I share the philosophy of Enneagram Revolution and the modality of Enneagram Parts Work through 1-on-1 sessions, online community calls, and live in-person events, to support living a life of radical wholeness, with all parts of self and all subtle centers integrated in harmony.

She is the visionary artist and creator behind the whole aesthetic side of Enneagram Revolution — from the brand, logo, graphic materials and beautiful website pages you’re currently looking at. Passionate about translating the essence of a vision into form by creating visual spaces that foster meaningful connections, she offers her services at Visual & Media.

Audrey has been on her own deep spiritual journey since a young age. She helped Paul bring Enneagram Parts Work into form by being the first person to go through the journey of all nine personality types as parts of herself.

Her creative vision and personal experience continue to shape the way Enneagram Revolution is expressed, experienced, and brought to life.

The Method & The Meaning of the Bee Sections

THE METHOD

Enneagram Parts Work is not a type of therapy but rather a spiritual practice grounded in our primary identity as consciousness itself. We find that we can move our point of perception in and out of the different parts of ourselves inhabiting our psyche. There are multiple ways to accomplish this, however, what is called “parts work” provides a way of doing so that is more easily attainable. It just so happens that our psyche, in its malleability, can present us with its inner parts as the Enneagram types when we hold a specific intention and relate to it from a certain context. It’s as if our field of experience is responding to the view we have in a “quantum” way, as A.H. Almaas has suggested. This insight widely opens the door to new possibilities of inner experience, and more importantly, to new opportunities for transformation.

The Meaning of the Bee

A mysterious spiritual school called the Sarmoun, mentioned by George Gurdjieff, is thought to have been his source for the symbol of the Enneagram. “Sarmoun” is a word meaning “bee,” which is a fascinating image for contemplative practice.

While it’s difficult to establish historical facts about the Sarmoun, we are inspired by the powerful symbol of the bee as the ultimate team player. Just as bees in a hive move as one mind, working together in perfect cooperation, our Enneagram parts can come out of conflict with each other and transition into relational harmony and coherence. This is a state of integration which expresses a higher order that Richard Rudd calls “synarchy.”

At the same time, the bees can be a symbol of our collective awakening to unity. The Enneagram helps us come to understand one another, develop compassion, and realize we are all parts of a greater whole, turning division into a revolutionary seeing of our “sameness.”

With multiple layers of meaning compressed into one image, we hope the bee symbol speaks to you on a deeper level — as it does to us!
